Please read the following if you are thinking of entering a tenant
agreement with a Private Landlord.
As we all know it can be very expensive renting accommodation in London
at present, and this seems to be a lifestyle that suits most working
professionals, travellers, etc.
The freedom to rent property both short-term or long-term, furnished
or unfurnished in an area that appeals to you - is a convenient way
of living.
Step 1
You find suited accommodation in the ideal location at the right price.
Step 2
The Landlord asks for one month rent in advance and a holding deposit,
which is returnable at the end of the tenancy agreement.
Question
How do you ensure that this will actually happen and a crack on the
wall in the corner of the lounge that you have not noticed or scuff
marks on the floor cabinet that you have never used, will be reasons
for the Landlord to retain your deposit or deduct relevant cost according
to his/her discretion?
Why not instruct us to compile a detailed inventory in your presence,
which can be copied to the respective landlord and can be referred
to and updated when the tenancy agreement expires.
We will compile the Inventory and at the end of the tenancy agreement,
re-check and produce a checkout report.
These simple steps will ensure that you are dealt with fairly and
any compensation issues are valid.
